The story behind AHA!

how it all started

After a few years working as a content specialist, I realized that my clients often had difficulties giving me a straight briefing. Basically, they couldn’t pitch me their project. They couldn’t communicate clearly what they were doing, which made my work much more complicated.

How can you write a convincing copy or a sharp punchline if you’re not 100% sure of what you’re selling?

Well, it all started with this observation. In fact, most of them had built their business without thinking through their reason for being. Most of them found it easy to tell me what and how they were doing things, but they had no explanation for why they were doing what they were doing. They had no story to tell.

Yet, a brand needs a story to be human, to be heard, and most importantly, to sell.

So very often, I ended up spending more time working on my client’s story line than on the mission I had been appointed for. The copy job was like a cherry on the cake but was no longer the goal.

I realized I loved questioning my clients, getting to their essence, and building up the puzzle to build their narrative.

And that’s the story of how I created AHA!
